Purpose

To cultivate a chapter culture that ensures all members feel welcome and respected, recruits and retains members with underrepresented identities and backgrounds, and works with the Executive Committee to create and advocate for policies and procedures that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion at the chapter, regional, and international levels.

Composition

The Committee shall consist of two co-Chairs appointed by the President. The Committee will appoint members by self-nomination and approval of the co-Chairs. The co-Chairs may seek assistance from the Executive Committee or other Chapter members as the Chair deems necessary.

Duties

1. A representative from the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Committee will be invited to attend all Executive Committee meetings to facilitate communication, but this representative should not be assigned tasks from the Executive Committee.
